You might be the kind of owner that says: Everyone! Maybe you’re the owner that paints with a broad brush with phrases like: women over forty, veterans, health conscious. Those terms describe everyone and no one. How can anyone know if someone is right for your business? With those descriptions it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack.

However, if we want to create sustainable, long term growth we need to be specific about who we can help.  The more detail we can give our network of associates, the better their ability of connecting us with the right people. The key to growth is specificity.

I feel strongly that it’s a duty to give back, to assist those who come after us. To share with them the skills we learned, the secrets to our success. More importantly, to share our failures. To give them an understanding of how to overcome.

 

It quickly became apparent that education is a business. Students, like consumers, were seen as revenue sources. Students, like consumers had a dollar value. They weren’t seen as the building blocks to a stronger, better institution. Things are still the same, which is why I wanted to change it.
